December second and I'm dying to get our little apartment looking festive! Unfortunately for me, I'll have to be patient and wait until next week when things simmer down a bit. Here are some of my favorite decoration ideas at the moment:
1. I love the idea of these charming little paper stars filling up a bowl or glass vase. Best of all: they are super easy and could use up bits of pretty paper of any sort. (photo: Linn Vikra)
2. This idea could so easily be adapted to almost any surface: a wooden board for wall decor, a door mat, even on a mirror with the temporary frost spray you can get around this time of year. (photo: Suzonne Stirling)
3. Simple details like these evergreen bobeches are often my favorite. And this idea is so simple you could grab a little handful of greens from the front yard and be done in minutes. Try slipping them over the necks of wine bottles when giving gifts, too. (photo: Martha Stewart)
4. The vintage charm of these ornaments is enchanting, especially the sweet little church. And the templates for all these designs are provided for free on Olivia's site! (photo: Olivia Kanaley)
5. I've been wanting to use black and white illustrations like these for a couple of noëls now and the large size of these (used here as an advent calendar) is really getting me. This year must be the year that I print some out! (photo: Brigitte.de)
6. Katy's handmade wreath is everything a classic christmas wreath should be and as if it wasn't lovely enough on it's own, go read her post about taking the workshop to make it in an old barn in Maine. I can almost smell the pine and the cold... (photo: Katy Elliot)
7. I've always clipped my holiday cards to ribbons and I still love that idea but this bottle cork board would be a neat way to display cards and use up accumulated corks at the same time. (photo: Marie Claire Idées)
